The Harry S. Truman Scholarship

The Truman Scholarship recognizes college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, the nonprofit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in the public service. The scholarship provides up to $30,000 in funding for graduate study, leadership training, and fellowship with other students who are committed to making a difference through public service. Sixty to sixty-five scholarships are awarded annually. Applicants should be juniors; juniors who are seniors in credits may apply.

The Samuel Huntington Public Service Award

The Huntington Award provides a $10,000 stipend for a graduating college senior to pursue public service anywhere in the world.  The Award allows recipients to engage in a meaningful public service activity for one year before proceeding on to graduate school or a career.

The William E. Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose

The William E. Simon Fellowship for Noble Purpose recognizes graduating college seniors who are pursuing lives dedicated to and distinguished by honor, generosity, service, and respect.  The Simon Fellowship is a $40,000 unrestricted cash grant awarded to a graduating college senior who has demonstrated passion, dedication, a high capacity for self-direction, and originality in pursuit of a goal that will strengthen civil society.  In addition, two $5,000 cash awards are made to two other outstanding students.

The Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs

The Fellows Program in Public Affairs is a nine-month, full-time, post-graduate experiential leadership training program which introduces diverse, intelligent and driven young public servants to all aspects of the public affairs arena. Field assignments, site visits, interviews and special individual and group projects and consultancies prepare Coro Fellows to translate their ideals into action for improving their own communities. 

Sixty-eight Fellows are chosen annually each year through a highly competitive selection process.  A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required and post-graduate academic and/or work experience are desirable.
